Alamance County Dismisses Its County Attorney
Clyde Albright, Alamance County’s attorney since 2008, is no longer the county’s top legal representative. He was formally dismissed Wednesday morning – two days after the county commissioners reportedly voted to end his employment during a closed-door meeting on Monday. The Alamance News reported on Albright’s firing yesterday, citing conversations with both Albright and County Commissioner Bill Lashley. A public statement indicated that the county has retained the law firm of Teague, Campbell, Dennis and Gorham to protect the county’s legal interests.
