Alamance County Jail Sees Spike in COVID-19 Cases
The Alamance County Jail currently has a COVID-19 outbreak with 27 confirmed positive cases as of Wednesday, sheriff department spokesperson Michelle Mills told the Alamance News. In addition to the inmates, at least one detention officer has also tested positive, Mills said. An inmate tested positive on Sunday, with three other inmates began displaying COVID-19 symptoms that day. Those cases prompted county health officials to test all inmates on Monday.
