Alamance County Reports Less Than Half Of Residents Have Had Covid Vaccine
North Carolina Health officials say 43 percent of Alamance County residents have had both their covid19 shots. Some other counties, like Orange, are closer to 70 percent while other North Carolina counties are still in the 20 percent range. Some health experts say as a whole, we have reached herd immunity, while others say it’s not even close yet. Regardless, the number of new cases has fallen dramatically. Here in Alamance County, health officials say there are still 73 active cases, with 3 people in the hospital. They say since back in March of 2020, Alamance County has had a total of 19 thousand confirmed cases out of a population of near 170 thousand.
