“Boose It and Lose It” Enforcement Begins Monday, Oct. 25

A statewide “Boose It and Lose It” Halloween highway safety campaign begins Monday and runs through Sunday, October 31. The enforcement campaign will focus on removing impaired drivers from the state’s highways. Officials revealed plans for the statewide campaign yesterday in Asheville. So far in North Carolina this year, there have been 271 alcohol-related fatalities. That number is down 23 percent from the same period last year.
