Burlington PD Investigates 10 July Shootings
Shootings are on the rise in Burlington, and police need your help to bring the criminals to justice. With three shootings over the weekend, the City of Burlington has now been called to 10 shootings this month. “One is significant in our opinion, but obviously 10 is concerning,” Chris Gaddis, assistant chief of the Burlington Police told WGHP Fox 8. Gaddis said. that only about a fourth of the shootings have resulted in injuries. Others have damaged homes, vehicles and businesses. Officers have not provided a motive for the shootings, but they believe most of the shootings involve two groups retaliating against each other. Persons of interest have been identified, according to WGHP, but Burlington police have not named suspects in their investigations. If you have information about any of Burlington’s July shootings, please contact the Burlington PD or Alamance County Crime Stoppers.
