Burlington Teens Hope to Raise $2.5 million to Create TV Show

Two Burlington teenagers have developed the script for a television pilot and are hoping to raise $2.5 million through Go Fund Me in order to turn the script into a television series. According to a story published by the Times News, Joseph Alexander Simpson and Logan Allred are working together to create “Midpoint Americana” – a single-camera drama about a boy from a small town. The show gets its inspiration from several existing dramas, including HBO’s “Euphoria,” the CW’s “Riverdale” and Netflix’s “Stranger Things.” If the teens are able to reach the lofty goal of $2.5 million in crowdsource funds, they hope to begin filming by the middle of 2022.
