Colonial Shuts Down Gas Pipeline Because of Hurricane Ida
As a precautionary measure, Colonial Pipeline officials shut down the two gas pipelines that run from Greensboro to Houston Sunday afternoon. The shutdown was made for safety reasons as folks in Louisiana braced for landfall by Hurricane Ida. The pipelines from Greensboro to Linden, New Jersey remained operational. The Colonial Pipeline is the largest pipeline in the United States. It supplies half of the fuel in is consumed on the East Coast.
