COVID Cases Continue to Drop throughout NC
COVID-19 cases in our state have been on the decline since mid-September. Cases surged from late July until early September, with the surge peaking on September 11 with more than 11,300 cases reported that day. Yesterday, 1,599 new cases were reported in our state. Alamance County currently has a seven-day test positivity rate of 6.5 percent, just slightly above the state average of 6.4 percent. Neighboring Orange County has the lowest positivity rate in the state at 2.58 percent.
