Deputy Rams Stolen Car to Apprehend Suspects in Mebane
Two suspects were arrested after a deputy rammed the stolen car they were in – a move designed to prevent their escape and protect pedestrians from harm, an Alamance County Sheriff’s Office release stated. The incident took place Friday evening at about 8:30 p.m. at the Lofts Apartments in Mebane. Deputies arrested 30-year-old Kenneth Ernest Warman and 35-year-old Arthur Daniel Harris. Warman was charged with possession of stolen motor vehicle and numerous drug charges. He received a $225,000 bond. Harris was charged with numerous drug crimes including possession with intent to manufacture, sell and distribute schedule II and IV controlled substances. Harris received a $200,000 bond.
