Fifth Body Found in Dan River Nearly Three Weeks After Accident
After searching for nearly three weeks, rescue workers pulled the body of Teresa Villano from the Dan River Monday afternoon. Villano was one of five family members who were killed when their river tubes went over a Duke Energy dam June 16th in Rockingham County. Four of the nine tubers survived the accident. Family members told WFMY yesterday that the discovery of the Villano’s body will help bring some closure to this tragedy. Villano was pregnant at the time of the accident.
