Fire Damages Apartment Complex in Burlington
Burlington Fire investigators say unattended cooking is to blame for a fire that caused more than $100,000 damage to an apartment complex at 1914 Trail Two. The fire occurred last Thursday at approximately 10:30 p.m. After receiving the call, Burlington Fire Fighters responded to the fire within four minutes of dispatch, and they had the fire under control within 20 minutes after arriving. No injuries were reported; however, six residents at the apartment complex were forced to find other places to stay because of fire, smoke and water damage. The American Red Cross assisted the residents who were affected to the fire.
