Graham Hires Former Rural Hall Town Manager
Megan Garner has been hired as the new city manager of Graham. The hiring took place Friday, just a day after Garner resigned from her position as town manager of Rural Hall. She was not the only person to step down from town leadership in Rural Hall Thursday, as three of the town’s four town council members also resigned. Garner will begin her new role in Graham on November 15. The Times News reports that her salary will be $120,000 and that she will receive $5,000 in moving expenses. In Graham, she will oversee the management of a city with more than 15,000 residents and a budget of more than $24 million. In Rural Hall, Garner managed a budget of $4.2 million in a town populated by 3,000 residents.
