Kenyon's Meat Market Gets Approval From Mebane City Council

The Mebane City council has approved a plan that will allow Kenyon’s Meat Market to move and expand. It’s on South 5th Street, a little more than one and a half acres. But it backs up to a residential area. Some of the residents had been complaining that it might disrupt their neighborhood. The Mebane City Council approved the rezoning though, after Kenyon’s promised they would keep the back of the property completely untouched and that the only trucks that would make deliveries would be box trucks that would only come during business hours. They say that way, the neighborhood behind the store won’t even know they are there. Kenyon’s says it really needs to build a new facility, to handle all the business in the fastest growing city in Alamance County.
