Mebane to Pursue Revenue Bonds for Water/Sewer Improvements
The Mebane City Council voted to apply for nearly $14 million in revenue bonds to pay for improvements to the city’s water and sewer systems. The bonds will be paid back over a period of 15 years. They will pay for renovations to the city’s water resource recovery facility, add a new pump station and basically refinance about $2.8 million in debt from a 20-14 water and sewer expansion.
