Preview of New Dog Park Is Saturday at 9 a.m.
Baseball is out. Dog-walking is in. This Saturday, dog owners will get a chance to preview a new dog park set to open this fall at Northeast Park in Gibsonville. Guilford County Parks is in the process of converting a baseball field into a dog park that will feature agility equipment and shade structures. The preview for dogs and their owners will be this Saturday at 9 a.m. and will feature more than just an open gate on the dog park. Backyard Canine Academy will provide a live demonstration of dogs who have completed their advanced obedience training and of dogs who conduct scent work. Guilford County Animal Services will also host a rabies clinic and have information about dogs that are available for adoption. Northeast Park is near the intersection of Huffine Mill Road and High Rock Road in the northeastern section of Guilford County, not too far from the Alamance County line.
