Protester Found Guilty for October March in Graham
Alamance County Courts have been dealing with a variety of the cases associated with an October 31 March to the Polls march and protest in Downtown Graham. Yesterday, Brenden Jamar Kee was found guilty of misdemeanor charges of resisting a public officer, failure to disperse on command and public disturbance. He was one of several people charged during the October 31 march. You may recall that Graham Police and Alamance County Sheriff’s deputies stopped the protest and ordered people to disperse. The shutdown took place after deputies realized the protestors had a gas powered generator and a gas can – items not allowed by their assembly permit and items that could be viewed as dangerous in crowded conditions. Law enforcement used pepper spray to disperse the crowd.
