Several Agencies Combine Efforts to Make Three Drug Arrests
The Alamance County Sheriff’s Office, the Alamance Narcotics Enforcement Team, the Orange County Sheriff’s Office, and the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation combined efforts to arrest three individuals on various drug charges last week. Investigators served search warrants at 529 Olin Road in Cedar Grove, 413 Cain Drive in Mebane and 2502 Carla Court in Burlington. Those searches revealed three kilograms of cocaine, 1.2 pounds of marijuana, 30 oxycodone pills, 32 Suboxone strips, and six firearms (including one that was stolen). Law enforcement officers arrested Jorge Eduardo Chavez Alonzo, age 53 of Haw River, John C. Smith II, age 47 of Mebane, and Alvorn Turner, age 47 of Mebane.
