Sheriff Deputies Volunteer to Paint Historic School

Last week, school resource officers from the Alamance County Sheriff’s Department took time out of their summer schedule to help paint the McCray School – a one-room school that was built in 1915 for African American children in northern Alamance County. The school, which last served children in 1951, is on NC Highway 62 in the McCray community.
