State ALE Agents Arrest 286 People in Operation Halloween

North Carolina Alcohol Law Enforcement agents arrested 286 people and issued 728 charges throughout our state during Operation Halloween. The weeklong operation was designed to slow the illegal sale of alcohol leading up to the Halloween weekend. Agents made arrests on a variety of alcohol and drug charges and seized both guns and drugs. Of the more than 700 charges, 137 were felonies. Twenty-five licensed businesses were found to be in violation of the state’s alcoholic beverage laws.
