Third Candidate Files for Burlington Mayor Forcing Primary
Candidates continue to file for several local offices, including for the office of mayor in Burlington. That race – the Burlington mayor’s race – will now have a primary election that will be held Oct. 5. The primary is necessary because three candidates have already filed to fill the mayor’s seat. Those on the ballot for the October primary will be incumbent Ian Baltutis, lawyer and historian Walter Boyd, and associate pastor and advocate for East Burlington Donna Vanhook. The October primary will narrow the field down to just two for the Nov. 2 general election. That primary will include these three candidates and any others who choose to file to run for the mayor’s seat.
