Late last week, the Alamance County Health Department confirmed that three schools in the Alamance Burlington School System have a cluster of COVID-19 cases. A cluster is defined as five or more positive cases of COVID-19 that can be linked over the course of 14 days. The ABSS Schools with clusters are Western Alamance High School, Alexander Wilson Elementary School and Andrews Elementary School. Health officials have identified five cases in the cluster at Western, 11 cases at Alexander Wilson and six cases at Andrews. Buildings at the three schools have received additional cleaning and sanitation protocols.
