Three Alamance High School Football Teams to Host Playoff Games Friday

The state playoff brackets are set for this fall’s North Carolina High School Athletic Association football championships, and three Alamance County teams will host first-round games this Friday. In Class 4-A, No. 15 seed Southern Alamance will play host to No. 18 seed Cary Panther Creek. In 3-A, Eastern Alamance earned the top seed in the East and will host No. 32 seed East Wake. And in 2-A, No. 6 seed Cummings will play host to No. 27 seed Greene Central. Other area teams that made the playoffs include Williams, which will travel to Wilson Fike; Western Alamance, which will travel to Jacksonville; Eastern Guilford, which will travel to Belmont South Point; and Bartlett Yancey, which will travel to Roanoke Rapids. Undefeated Eastern Randolph, the top seed in 1-A, received a first round bye.
