Today is Move-In Day for Elon University

Today is Move-In Day for Elon University’s new students. That means, among other things, that a section of East Haggard Avenue will be closed to through traffic from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Only those moving into the residence halls will be allowed on Haggard from Williamson Avenue to O’Kelley Avenue. Throughout the day, the university will welcome 1,615 first-year students and 78 transfer students. Move-In begins with check-in at the Schar Center, and each new student was assigned a specific check-in time. The new students are coming from 43 states and 25 different countries. Keep in mind that the return to campus for the fall semester will affect traffic around Elon throughout this weekend.
