Wreck Causes Damage to Burlington Fire Station
Sunday afternoon, the driver of a vehicle on Graham-Hopedale Road in Burlington lost control of the vehicle and crashed into Burlington Fire Station Number Three. The wreck caused about $15,000 damage to the station, damaging a fence and the station’s heating and air conditioning system. The vehicles occupants suffered non-life-threatening injuries. Fire personnel were in the station at the time of the accident; however, no fire fighters were harmed. Inspectors from the city checked out the building following the accident and determined the building was structurally safe for the fire fighters to continue to use the facility. No word on whether the driver of the vehicle was charged.
